Two Benidorm Snowglobes

Sun, sea, high-rise hotels and boats sum up the essence of Benidorm
The Gran Hotel Bali is 186 metres high and has 52 floors. It is said to be the tallest building on Europe's Mediterranean coast. When we went there, visitors as well as guests were allowed to travel for free to the hotels skydeck in the outside glass floored lift. It costs a few Euros now but is well worth the experience and view.
Benidorm is a Spanish Mediteranean seaside resort unusual for its sky rise buildings which follow a coast of miles of golden beaches, which during summer in particular are packed with tourists. We went there for a day trip from Malaga the day after Christmas day. The more elderly winter crowd kept to strolling along the promenade or eating in the endless British type fast food cafes rather than braving the windy beach. It was originally a small fishing village with olive and citrus groves, now its a high-rise hotel and nightlife place especially in the summer.
The Bali hotel is in the middle of the picture partially hidden behind a white building.
